Simon Hope Management Limited

I specialise in service transformation, leadership, strategic planning, challenging the status quo, communications, customer service and focus, coaching, mentoring, and people management. I devise and meet clear briefs, and ensure that my clients’ needs are met.

I have 35 years’ experience and success, with more than 25 years at director and senior management level, working in consultancy, interim, and permanent roles, primarily in the public and not-for-profit sectors. I have undertaken roles and projects in communications, customer services, policy, strategic partnerships, and children's services, and also provided challenge and insight at a corporate level, sitting on a number of senior leadership teams.

I direct, manage, design, review, and re-design services, strategies, and teams to make them more effective and efficient, so that they make a direct contribution to your organisation’s future success.

I set up SHML in 2015, and for the past nine years I have worked in both consultancy and interim roles with a range of organisations, including local government, combined authorities, and third sector. I have helped my clients to improve services and make teams better. I produce clear, concise, and jargon-free recommendations and reports when required.

Prior to 2015 I worked in the public sector, nine years with Sheffield City Council and then four years at Wakefield Council. I left my role in Wakefield as Director of Communications, Customers, and Policy to set up SHML.

Up until the turn of the millennium I spent 13 years in London in communications roles in the not-for-profit sector, working for the Royal College of General Practitioners, British Diabetic Association (now Diabetes UK), and Parkinson’s Disease Society (now Parkinson’s UK).
